Pre-Audition Clinic & Team Auditions
Pre-Audition
Clinic: Sunday, April 5th
Clinic is open to any high school or college
students.
Registration fee is $40 (must be cash or money
order). There will be no
refunds once the class begins!
Registration on the day of the clinic will begin at
12:30 pm.
The clinic will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm in
the Corral located in the USF Sundome.
Please bring:
Liability release form, a copy of your insurance card, resume,
photo, and payment (cash or money order).
The Pre-Audition Clinic will include
- Audition
tips – hair, makeup, what to wear, shoes, etc.
- Dance
technique to know
- Meet
the coaches and current SunDolls – ask lots of questions!!!
- Attending
the clinic automatically registers you for auditions
- You
will learn dance material that will be taught at Final Auditions!!!
- Any
dance attire is acceptable

SunDolls Team Auditions
Auditions
information: Friday, April
17th and Saturday, April 18th
Location:
USF Rec Center, 4202 E. Fowler Ave.
Auditions are CLOSED to the public.
All participants are required to bring the
following (if you attended the pre-audition clinic, you will
automatically be registered. You
will only need to bring proof of acceptance to the University):
- Letter
of acceptance from USF (for incoming Freshman or transfer students)
or a current USF student ID
- A
liability release form (if under 18, parents must sign also) found
on website
- A
copy of individual’s primary medical insurance
- Non-returnable
photo
- Resume
or Application
- $40
cash or money order (fee waived if you attended the pre-audition
clinic)
All selected dancers are required to be enrolled
full time both semesters (12 hour/semester) and maintain a minimum 2.0
GPA at USF (“C” average), be able to work well in a team
environment, and present a clean cut, respectable, athletic appearance
at all times.

Dance attire for tryouts must be a two piece outfit.
You must wear boy shorts and tights – as well as a top that
reveals the stomach area.
Auditions
Day 1: Friday, April 17th
Location: USF Rec Center, Room 107
Registration begins at 6:00 pm
Auditions begin promptly at 6:30 pm
Audition numbers will be given in the order of
arrival. Those attending
the Pre-Audition clinic will receive priority registration.
6:00-6:30 pm – Room will be open for stretching,
individual practice on skills.
6:30-7:15 pm – Technique Across the Floor
* Technique will include but is not limited to:
split leaps, switch leaps, L/R triple/quad turns, leg hold turns,
fouette turns in second, calypso leaps, leaps in second, kicks.
7:15-8:00 pm – Jazz/Hip Hop Routine
* You will learn a short routine and perform it
that night. The second day,
more choreography will be added to the routine.
8:00-9:00 pm
* You will be judged on the routine in groups of 2.
After this round, the scores will be tallied.
The top 50% will advance to Saturday.
Those advancing will stay to learn March Victorious.
9:15-9:45 pm
* Teaching of March Victorious.
Auditions
Day 2: Saturday, April 18th
Location: USF Rec Center, Lower Gymnasium
Registration begins at 10 am **Veterans arrive on
this day**
Auditions will begin at 10:30 am.
10:30-12:00 pm
* Review/Add on the Jazz/Hip Hop routine and review
March Victorious
12:00 pm
* Begin auditions in groups of two.
Candidates will be judged on 2 routines: Jazz/Hip
Hop Routine and March Victorious
Following this round, scores will be tallied.
The top scores will advance to the solo routines.
***Final cut is a 1 min solo routine choreographed
by the individual, followed by a brief interview.
Any style of dance and costume is acceptable.
You definitely want to show off your talents!
There will be a brief meeting for the 2009 SunDolls
team following the announcement of its members.
